With over 15 years of experience working in the NHS, Emma has worked within a range of areas, including Occupational Therapy with Older Persons Mental Health, Palliative Care, Respiratory and Orthopaedics, giving her a wide variety of knowledge and experience to draw from. Emma's passion lies in helping people with long-term health conditions, regardless of their age or ability. She finds her work incredibly rewarding and puts her heart and soul into every client interaction. Emma used both Pilates and Yoga to alleviate her own back pain and anxiety, which led her to teach others how to live better. She launched Pilates and Yoga Studio to hold small group sessions where attention to detail and coaching is the number one priority, helping people to transfer their learning into their everyday lives. In 2020, Emma successfully completed her Pilates Mat Conversion with Body Control Pilates. The principle of encouraging natural movement is the vital foundation for avoiding injury and maintaining fitness regardless of age or ability, making Body Control Pilates remarkably effective and medically-approved. As a member of the Body Control Pilates Association - one of the largest Pilates organizations in Europe, Emma undergoes continuous professional development to retain her prestigious membership. For Emma, Pilates is a precise and intelligent exercise system, where the message is "Quality, not Quantity." It's a way of learning how your body works that gives you the tools to improve your own posture, appearance and physical wellbeing.
