Chris was suffering from clicks hip syndrome and lower back pain from being in a seated position for 8/9 hours per day.

At Pilates and Yoga Studio we see a high percentage of work place related musculoskeletal issues, predominantly back and neck complaints.
Remember our bodies were not designed to spend hours hunched over a computer or desk.
Many health professionals are now seeing “sitting as the new smoking” in terms of our health and well being.!
Prevention is the key and this is why Pilates has been so successful in assisting Chris and many others with back, hip, shoulder and neck pain.
There are also other preventative measures you can put into place such as, correct desk, chair and computer height and regular breaks away from your workstation -Remember movement it key.
The following exercises in this video can help alleviate stiffness that builds up during your working day when sedentary in one position. They can also help relieve stress and tension especially in the upper back and neck region.
