Practicing Gratitude,  it really is a great way to be present and to focus on the people and things in our lives that we are thankful for.
We have been living in very uncertain times so choosing to see the good and what there is to be grateful for is more important than ever...
Practicing gratitude can also benefit our health and well-being.
It’s easy to move through our days without taking the time to reflect on the positives, but a daily gratitude practice can really change your life...
I’ve jotted down a few tips for ways for you to start practicing gratitude this month and going forward in your daily life..
  • Writing it down | Keep a gratitude journal or a daily list of what you’re thankful for. Place your daily gratitude list in a place where you will see it often as possible this will create a positive reminder throughout the day. I sometimes take a picture and put mine on the home screen of my mobile.
  • Always looking | Continue to look for things throughout the day to be thankful for. The more you develop this practice, the easier it becomes. This will lead to more positive emotions and improves your psychological health.
  • Include your family | One thing I love to do with my kids is to go around the dining room table and have them share something they’re grateful for from their day. We get some laughs!
  • Flip it |  Next time you see something that would usually be negative to you, see if you can turn it around into something more positive. This change in perspective and mindset can be truly powerful. In fact, researchers say that those who do this regularly are more able to handle serious trauma and avoid post-traumatic stress and long-term anxiety.

While it’s important to acknowledge the many challenges that we have faced or that we are currently facing, we can still find things to be grateful for.
It might you a while to get into the flow of it, but over time, it can become a natural part of your day life.
As busy women and men, we often find ourselves just carrying on and on and on and ON with life.
If you can just take a moment to stop and think about how thankful we are for the special people in our lives, for our bodies and how they serve us, and for the small things in life, we get a chance to slow down and take it all in.
So, how about it? Will you try working on gratitude this month ?
I would love to know how you get on or your thoughts on this, or are you already doing this ?!
