We are only a few weeks into the year, and lockdown life is upon us again, we may find we have good days and bad days. So many of us are carrying stress and tension in our bodies without even realise the decrementing effects that it can be having on our health. The good news is that one of the greatest ways to reduce the negative effects of stress is to move our bodies.!!.... And yes I can help here! - FREE WORKOUT INCLUDED... Did you know that just 15 minutes of Pilates can help to reduce the effects of stress by releasing that negative tension in your body, it increases the blood flow to your brain, it calms your nervous system, AND it boost those feel-good hormones! That’s why I’ve recorded you a FREE Pilates workout for you to do this week! It is a Stretch and Release class, its only 25 minutes long so can easily slip it into your day. I’ll guide you through the workout to help you release that stress and tension so you can feel your best. I can’t wait to hear about the positive effects doing this workout has on you. Please let me know how you get on. Try this rapid relaxation Find yourself a quiet place to relax. Let your hands rest loosely in your lap, or by your side. Take a long slow deep breath in through your nose, all the way down into your stomach. Hold the breath for just a moment, and then exhale through your mouth. Allow your breath to carry away all stress and tension as the air floods out of your lungs. Take another slow breath in through your nose. Fill your lungs completely. Hold it for a moment...and release the breath through your mouth. Empty your lungs completely with your out-breath. Feel that the tension in your body has begun to loosen and subside. Take a third deep breath in. Hold it for a moment, and then let it go. Feel yourself relaxing more and more deeply with each breath. Lots of Love - and Stay Safe
